I believe that gratitude is the center of joy, peace, contentment, and love.
When we make the choice to notice all of the blessings in our lives that we can be thankful for daily!That gratitude can overflow to those around us who are in need.
We ALL can make a difference in the life of someone else who may need a smile, a kind word, a warm hat, a song, or a nutritious meal!
We began the year in June by helping out KIDSMART-PUSH FOR PENCILS school supply drive and also our SUMMER FOOD DONATION to CIRCLE OF CONCERN FOOD PANTRY.
So many families struggle in the summer months to pay for daycare all day throughout the summer months in addition to the added cost of extra meals. These generous donations made a difference to so many!

I am thrilled to announce that Lacefield Music has jumped in to help out with the annual winter charity drives!
Dwayne Hilton and Pete Hawkins have invited their students and friends of Lacefield to donate food, and toys towards the food drive for Circle Of Concern and Loaves And Fishes STL , in addition to toys for tots!
They also rolled up their sleeves to help with collection and distribution!
Because of this combined effort, December 2022 was my biggest donation drop-off in 30 years of hosting events like this!
It brought tears to my eyes to know how many families and children would have meals on their tables and toys to bring smiles during the holiday season!
Lacefield Music and I dropped off over 1000 pounds of food donations! In addition to this, we also donated boxes of toys and warm winter wear items as well! There was even a family who made an anonymous monetary donation to Loaves and Fishes Stl!
Bottom line: we helped so many people! That is what it is all about!
I want to thank my families and students in addition to the Lacefield family for their incredible generosity. This would have never happened without your help!

BERRY MUSIC STL IS ABOUT MORE THAN MUSIC! My goal as a music educator is to not just help students become life-long musicians, but to also become gratitude-centered individuals who want to share their musical gifts with others and their kindness as well. It has been by honor to have spend most of my childhood and adult life involved in community outreach and ministry helping those in need. I am always for looking for ways to give back to the community around me and feel so very blessed to help other share in that opportunity as well!
In addition to sharing music with local assisted living communities, Berry Music has also found ways to help others in need not only at the holiday season but all throughout the year! Be on the lookout for my updates throughout the year as I present opportunities to get involved!

Fun Fact: Julie Berry's newest 4-legged side-kick is a rescue from NEEDY PAWS! His name is Paddy (affectionally called Paddy Cake) He was found in Arkansas under a trailer on St. Paddy's day of 2022, thus the Irish name. He was placed with a foster family until we found him on the website. He is VERY loved!
