Berry Music STL - THE ROYAL CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC (RCM)

Berry Music STL is a premier music studio offering the finest in music education.

Students of Julie berry will now be offered the opportunity to participate in one of most widely recognized and prestigious music exams worldwide.

THE ROYAL CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC CERTIFICATE PROGRAM provides a national standard for all students. RCM is internationally respected and offers the highest standard of excellence in music education.

RCM is equal to and comparable to ABRSM.

Regardless if a student is ready to be invited by me to participate in the program, all students from the very youngest groups will be taught using the most comprehensive curriculum and repertoire to prepare them to one day be ready.

If a student has had the experience to participate in the NFMC Spring Festival or NGPT Guild auditions, they have had an introductory and more casual experience in having an adjudicator give feedback and ratings. These two organizations are much more "relaxed" in their rating system and strive to always share positive feedback in order to encourage the very beginner-intermediate students to set goals, commit to the goals, and receive constructive feedback.

The RCM Certificate program/exams is on an entirely different level.

Students who participate will be expected to practice 5-7 days per week in all elements such as theory, sight-reading drills, technique training, ear-training exercises, and repertoire.

Students who are placed in my two highest piano groups (E and F) will be training for the program. They will not be required to take the exams, but will be prepared to do so if they choose.

Students in Groups B-D will be carefully selected/ invited to participate if I feel they are ready. Details given on a TBD basis.

Materials used for program training will be from RCM. I will give specific instructions on which books students will need to own/purchase.
