I wanted to devote a page of sharing with you the ways in which I have used my musical gifts during my entire life to bless those around me with hope, healing, and Joy!

Many students and families have asked through the years: "What did you do musically before you decided to teach music."

My reply, with a giant smile on my face is that I have ALWAYS been a very active musician and ALSO decided to teach others how to do the same!

I could never keep all this fun to myself! I want everyone to experience the joy of music!

My purpose is to show others that my passion for music education is rooted and grounded in my love and enjoyment of being a life-long musician.

My core value and mission as a music educator is to help all of my students, young and old, to be life-long musicians as well.

My hope is to inspire you that you are never too young or too old to begin your musical journey!

I am so thankful that I get to live my life actively fulfilling my calling and passion as an active musician and music educator, full-time!

LITERALLY, MUSIC IS MY LIFE!

I thank God for giving me my musical gifts and the passion and ability to share my music with anyone who will listen!

One of the greatest joys of my life, other than knowing Jesus Christ as my personal savior; has been the gift of music!

My childhood was filled with music!

From the very beginning, my toddler years, I LOVED music!

I enjoyed singing and making up my own songs that I would joyfully sing to my stuffed animals!

Rumor has it, I used to cautiously investigate the piano keys of our living room piano that I could barely reach as I stood on my tiny, toddler tippy-toes!

The sound of that large, dusty antique intrigued my curiosity (My mother journaled about this for me to read years later!)

I began playing the piano as soon as I could sit upright on the bench, unassisted.

I began lessons at the age of 6.

I also enjoyed singing at church in Sunday school class and youth groups, singing solos in elementary school, and participating with senior community music ministry outreach as a younger child.

I learned from an early age that music brought me great joy!

It was also extremely therapeutic.

A side-benefit of all of these musical opportunities I had as a child who was a little on the nervous side, was that it helped me cope with and overcome my "shyness" in order to share music with others.

I always believed that music made an impact upon the heart.

I felt what it was doing to my heart!

It filled me with joy to see the effect that my music had on others as well.

This, in turn, HELPED me overcome any anxieties and insecurities in order to step out and begin sharing music with others.

It was NOT easy at first!

I recall many times, whispering a phrase to myself under my breath as I went on stage "Just be brave Julie!!"

It was my positive self-talk that started early!

It helped me to gain self-confidence and courage.

I would also say a prayer in my young heart: "Lord, help me change another persons life with my music today?"

He always has and He continues to do so!

My Musicianship has included:

Formal training/ study of classical piano lessons for 23 years under renowned Instructors

Church music/worship during my childhood years and teens in leading worship for the younger classes at church and participating in worship teams/ choirs

Singing in choral groups / ensembles both in junior and senior high

Playing as a piano accompanist for church plays, school choirs, church worship, weddings, and also for students during solo/ensemble season during my teen years

Playing and singing with the senior community ministry outreach group at my church as a young girl and my teen years

I continued to sing in choral groups/ ensembles in college and into my adulthood

I am currently a part of my church worship choir, a performing show choir , and performing ensemble group called Saint Louis Concert Choir and SLCC Vocal Ensemble

I was a former worship director for a small church in Minnesota in addition to singing, playing, and serving in ministry in quite a few worship teams over the last 30+ years!

I am currently serving on the worship team at my amazing church on two campuses.

I have been also so blessed to continue serving in senior community ministry for over 30 years now as the host for senior community music share events that I provide for my students and friends to join me in blessing the senior community with music and kindness

I am a song-writer, composer, performer, producer, and recording artist who ministers my music through a ministry I began in 2014 called "Fathers Song Ministry".

I have enjoyed sharing my music that the Heavenly Father puts in my heart in the following ways: Concerts, churches, treatment centers, women's ministry groups, homeless shelters, children's hospitals, schools, special needs community outreach events, and in senior assisted living and memory care communities

As a content creator, I find enjoyment in creating very helpful tutorial coaching videos in the areas of Voice, Piano, Keys, Music Theory, Blues Improv, Worship arts training, Choral group vocal coaching, Choral practice tracks, Children's music and more!

NEXT BIG GOAL: It brings me great joy to announce that I will be publishing a series of online courses in 2025!

My happy place is recording , producing, and performing

music that I write/compose/arrange.

I have had the amazing opportunity to professionally record 2 albums.

One of the famous studios I was blessed to record with was WINTERLAND STUDIOS in Minneapolis. (Members of Prince's band recorded there!)

NEW MUSIC IS COMING!! I am currently working on a new project in studio this year!
